The British Museum Co-production Project: Special Delivery

Special Delivery

Co-produced creative course with the British Museum and Single Homeless Project, 2025

Over the course of nine weeks, eight SHP ArtHouse participants took part in Special Delivery, a creative programme co-produced with the British Museum. The course was delivered by myself, with additional creative support from screen-print artists Christine Teeling and Kirti Virmani.

Together, we explored creativity through screen-printing and mural painting, with participants bringing energy, curiosity, and dedication to every session.

The screen-printed postal stamps created during the course were inspired by geographical locations that participants felt connected to or drawn towards. Each stamp featured objects carefully selected during a group visit to the British Museum, where participants deepened their exploration of these places through the museum’s collections.
Using the shapes and patterns found in these objects, the group collaborated with Meghan to design a new mural for the SHP building. The finished mural and screen-prints are now installed, bringing renewed vibrancy and creativity to the space.

Elements of the mural were also adapted for display in the Stephen Lawrence Exhibition Space in Greenwich, offering a glimpse of the larger work and showcasing participants’ pieces as part of Single Homeless Project’s annual art exhibition.

The project was further recognised by The Big Issue, which featured it in a full-page article in the October 2025 issue.
